HL – HOLOGRAPHIC HEAT TRANSFER VINYL
Holographic heat transfer vinyl is made with a PET/PVC sticky and non-sticky material. Its rainbow, light-shifting surface changes colour with every angle, making it one of the most eye-catching finishes in the VENYL range.
It applies with a low application temperature of 140–150 °C and a very stable and simple warm peel. HL Series is suitable for fashion garments, dancewear, party and festival apparel, bags and accessories.

Why holographic?
The embossed diffraction pattern splits light into a full spectrum. On black garments it creates a striking rainbow effect; on white it gives a pearly, subtle shimmer. Holographic vinyl is especially popular for festival, dance and kids' fashion.
Cutting and weeding
Cut with the shiny side down. Because holographic film is slightly stiffer than standard PVC, add 10–15 g of blade force and use a fresh blade for thin lines.
Pressing
Apply at 305 °F / 150 °C for 10–15 seconds with medium pressure (EasyPress users add approx. 30 °F). Always use a cover sheet to protect the reflective surface.
Heat Press Instructions
- Cover with Heat Transfer Cover Sheet or Multipurpose Paper
- Preheat garment for 2–3 seconds
- Apply design at 150 °C / 302 °F
- Use medium pressure for 10–15 s
- Peel carrier: hot or cold
Home Iron Instructions
- Set iron dial between Cotton and Linen, steam off
- Cover with Heat Transfer Cover Sheet or Multipurpose Paper
- Place on flat, hard surface (ironing board not recommended)
- Press iron with medium/firm pressure (do not slide iron)
- Press 20–30 s per area, then from the reverse side
Important note after application of VENYL HTV
- Wait 24 hours before the first wash.
- Machine wash warm or cold with mild detergent.
- Dry on normal dryer setting. Do not dry clean.
- A liquid fabric softener is not recommended.
- Do not iron directly on the design.
