A transparent overview of cookies and similar technologies on venyl.net – spoiler: we do not track you.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which allow a website to save small amounts of information in your browser. 2. Our approach
We believe a manufacturer's website does not need to follow you around the internet. Therefore venyl.net:
- does not use analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics);
- does not use advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking pixels;
- does not load fonts, scripts or styles from third-party servers – all resources (fonts, icons, libraries) are hosted locally on our own server;
- does not embed third-party content such as maps or videos that could set cookies automatically.

These entries contain no personal data and are never sent to our server or to third parties.
4. Legal basis
Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), the EU ePrivacy Directive and their national implementations, storing information that is strictly necessary to provide a service you requested does not require consent. The functional entry is minimal and only set after you actively use the related feature.
5. Server log files
Like every website, our web server records technical access data (IP address, browser, time and requested page) to deliver the site and protect it against attacks. This is not a cookie and is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. External links
Our pages contain links to LinkedIn, Pinterest and WhatsApp. These services are only contacted if you click the link. Once you are on their websites, their own cookie policies apply.
7. How to control or delete stored data
You can delete local storage and cookies at any time in your browser settings:
- Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data / Clear browsing data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
You can also browse in private/incognito mode; in that case nothing is kept after you close the window. Blocking local storage does not affect the functionality of the website, except that the cookie notice will be shown again.
8. Changes
If we ever introduce additional cookies (for example, optional analytics), we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie.
